Moving Pains

Leaving for Cali!!

So the biggest bummer of this whole moving deal is that the bike that I really wanted to ride in Fruita and Moab is not done as of yet. The bike is nothing to bling, it's and IRO Mia frame, the parts are a little overboard. Fork will be a Maverick DUC32 The Front Hub will be a Chris King 24mm Disc Hub laced to a Salsa disc only 29er rim, The Headset is a Chris King Blue, rear hub is a Paul WORD the freewheel is a White Indy freewheel, and the rear wheel is tubeless on a mavic 819 rim. The brakes are Avid Juciy 5's so nothing super bling here, but they work great and the bike was a good friends taht sold it to me way to cheap, so I would feel far to guilty to ever sell it again, so I am throwing some parts at it. it's a Single speed set up, and it's got new shoes and a new 32 tooth chainring waiting for it at the apartment. I am having a great guy set the fork up, infact I am trading parts and tool and such for the new fork, and really can't bitch that it's not done. He is doing me a favor, and the timeline was short even if I was a paying customer! Still I am very bummed that it's not going with me. He will ship it to me along with the Bontrager he is build a for for, and the BMC SS Cross bike I droped off yesterday so I didn't have to drag it with me on the road trip... my car will look very sad with only 2 bikes on it, I had imagined it having a rocket box, 4 bike on top, and a bike or two on the hitch mount, it would have looked legen-wait for it- Dary! but I guess there will be less chance of me ripping them off at a drive through!
